Capital of Culture 2010: Church in Wetter
As part of the Local Hero week in Wetter, the churches present themselves in a good 44-minute video.

There is something very special: From 13 to 19 November Wetter is for a week Local Hero in the context of the Capital of Culture 2010.
And during this week Wetter shows many of its most beautiful and interesting sites.
This is certainly true for the Church's life in the town of Harkort.
And so on November 17, 2010 - the Day of Atonement - at 19.00 clock,
an ecumenical church service of numerous parishes from Wetter
was held in the Ruhrtaler Dom in Alt-Wetter.
The poster had been designed to Torsten Mühlhoff.
4 trombone choirs from the various districts of Alt-Wetter, Volmarstein / Grundschöttel and Wengern
as well as numerous church choirs had united to provide a worthy musical backdrop.
Following the numerous guests gathered in the parish hall,
in order to look at a 45-minute film about 12 parishes in Wetter.
Torsten Mühlhoff had previously visited the parishes during several weekends, collected relevant information
and taking pictures of the houses of worship.
Supplemented by aerial photographs of Wetter as well as recordings from a drive through the neighborhoods
the sequences were assembled into a film,
giving a good insight into the ecclesiastical variety of Wetter.
The video can be
purchased
on DVD for 15 €.
