Dismantling, transportation and warehousing of 4 presses with a weight of 40 tons
The request
The logistics service provider Wiedemeyer from Wetter was commissioned to dismantle 4 presses
with a weight of 40 tons at the company DURA in the Sauerland and then place them temporarily in storage at the plant in Witten.
On short notice - 3 days before the execution of the contract - we were asked to
record the execution of the project in sound and pictures as an example of a dismantling project.

The media coverage of the project
After the temporal and spatial requirements could be clarified with project leaders,
the necessary technology was prepared: 2 cameras with tripod, batteries and enough memory.
Of particular importance was the limitation to record only approved areas on premises.
Day 1: Wednesday
In the early evening we reached our destination.
In the back of a factory building we found the 4 presses, where the technicians had already begun the disassembly.
The recording could begin.
Shortly before midnight, important scenes were "in the box".
Day 1: Arrival at the destination
Day 2: Thursday
After a short night's sleep, the recording was continued around 6:00 clock in the morning.
The tower crance for loading the presses on the flat bed trailer was already in front of the factory building and brought itself into position.
By the early evening all presses should now be dismantled, turned-over, transported through the workshops and be loaded on the flat bed trailer.
In the following night the heavy loads were transported safely and without incident to the plant in Witten.
Day 2: Fun at work despite the high stress
Day 3: Friday
In the morning the presses in Witten plant could be stored temporarily.

The processing of the material
105 GB of video material (138 video sequences), 6 GB of photo material (243 images in RAW format).
Day 1: Saturday
After the material had already been initially sighted and somewhat structured on Friday,
we continued with the processing of the photographs.
This was followed by the creation of the short intro and the "Storyboards" (divided into 5 phases).
Also some media have already been assigned to the individual phases.
Day 2: Sunday
The focus was on optimizing the interaction of the used media.
On the same evening the video was finally produced and provided online to the customer for viewing.
The result
12 minutes and 45 seconds summarize 8 hours, 45 minutes and 20 seconds of recorded footage.
A further temporal streamlining and focusing on specific aspects as well as special scenarios can be implemented at any time.
